What are your interests?



Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Permanent Irish Language Translators Wanted

Calling all Irish speakers!

The EU institutions are looking to recruit 72 permanent Irish language translators for locations in Brussels and Luxembourg. Applications are being accepted until the 4th September.

The Journal.ie reported that Minister of State for the Irish language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Joe McHugh, spoke at a launch event at Chester Beatty Library about the campaign.

Minister McHugh said that “the translation services have a key role to play in strengthening communications and improving the level of understanding amongst our citizens about the EU’s role in our daily lives”. He also stated that these roles are an "excellent opportunity".
