Linguistic

The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. The Work - Science Communicator

A Science Communicator works with students and other groups to bring Science, Engineering and Technology to life, and to increase understading of science and the role of scientists. They use a variety of tools such as demonstrations, lectures and workshops.

The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. Social

Entry Requirements - Science Communicator

There is no single route to becoming a Science Communicator. A good understanding of science is a must. You do not actually need a science degree, although most people in the occupation have a a science background or a science-related qualification.

For example, Niamh Shaw, freelance Science Communicator and perfomer, did a degree in bioengineering at UCD, and a research masters in engineering, followed by a PhD on edible films – biodegradable packaging, in UCD food science department.
