Social?

The Social person's interests focus on some aspect of those people in their environment. In all cases the social person enjoys the personal contact of other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people, and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

The UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science will host an Information Evening taking place in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny on Wednesday 15th November. The event, which will begin at 7.30pm, aims to provide an overview of the 13 undergraduate entry pathways available to students entering the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science in September 2018.

Information on entry requirements, career opportunities and subject choices will also be presented by UCD staff members and recent graduates and will be followed by complimentary refreshments and a Q&A session.

Admission is free but pre-booking is essential.

UCD Physics Open Evening 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Meet us the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science. The talks will be held in the Moore Auditorium located within the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science.
The evening will include:

<li>Talks on career paths from UCD Physics graduates and current undergraduate students about their experiences.</li>
</ul>

The UCD Chemistry Open Evening will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday 21 November 2017  in the UCD O'Brien Centre for Science.
If you have already visited us on Open Day, this evening will be different. We are opening up our new Chemistry undergraduate teaching laboratories and there will be demonstrations and an opportunity to talk with staff and current students about studying Chemistry in UCD.  Registration will take place in the foyer of the UCD O'Brien Centre for Science. There will be stands present from UCD Chemistry Staff, Royal Society of Chemistry, UCD ChemSoc and current undergraduate students.
This will be a great chance to see the world-class facilities available to Chemistry students in UCD.

UCD Computer Science Open Evening 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Event Date: 28 November 2017 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM 
UCD School of Computer Science is hosting an Open Evening for 5th & 6th year secondary school students, mature students, parents and teachers on Tuesday 22nd November 2016.
The purpose of the evening is to introduce prospective students to the opportunities available for studying Computer Science at UCD.
Talks by staff and graduates will outline what Computer Science is, the content of the degree programme and what life is like as an undergraduate in UCD. There will be talks on Computer Science careers, internships and post-graduate courses. There will be a chance to meet with CS staff and current students, plus demos from researchers on robotics, virtual reality and drones.
