What are your interests?



Not surprisingly, some aspect of the natural sciences will run through the Naturalist's interests - from ecological awareness to nutrition and health. People with an interest in horticulture, land usage and farming (including fish) are Naturalists.

Some Naturalists focus on animals rather than plants, and may enjoy working with, training, caring for, or simply herding them. Other Naturalists will prefer working with the end result of nature's produce - the food produced from plants and animals. Naturalists like solving problems with solutions that show some sensitivity to the environmental impact of what they do. They like to see practical results and prefer action to talking and discussing.

Exciting new programmes on offer from St. Angela’s College, Sligo:

Disability Equality Studies (part-time / online)

In partnership with The Disability Equality Specialist Support Agency (DESSA) this, programme is open to disabled people, those who work for, or live with disabled people and those who currently work or have a strong desire to work in the Disability Sector. Our vision for graduates from the Disability Equality Studies programme is that they will occupy a number of leading policy-to-practice roles in projects focussed on mainstreaming with and for disabled people.

Applied Health and Wellness Coaching (part-time / online)

The aim of health and wellness coaching is to help people to choose the behaviour they want to change and support them to achieve change through goal setting and ongoing goal review. The programme is aimed at Healthcare Professionals - Nurses, Midwives, Mental Health Practitioners, Health Promotion Practitioners, GPs, Practice Nurses, Dieticians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Personal Trainers, Nutritionists, Health and Fitness Coaches, Sports Coaches, Community and Social Care Workers, Career Guidance Teachers, and College Counsellors.
