Creative? 		Creative
Creative people are drawn to careers and activities that enable them to take responsibility for the design, layout or sensory impact of something (visual, auditory etc). They may be drawn towards the traditional artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpture, singing, or music. Or they may show more interest in design, such as architecture, animation, or craft areas, such as pottery and ceramics.

Creative people use their personal understanding of people and the world they live in to guide their work. Creative people like to work in unstructured workplaces, enjoy taking risks and prefer a minimum of routine.

This is a two year programme designed to introduce students to the disciplines involved in early years’ education. The programme provides an introduction to a wide range of theoretical and practical skills including the developing child, children’s behavior, curriculum studies, creativity and imagination, child protection, child health and practical methods of engaging children through play. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in work placement settings. Students, on successful completion of the HC may progress to the BSc (Hons) ECCHE or choose to work within the early years’ education sector.
