| Do your best to find out the most you can about your specific engineering category, whether it be Electronics, Mechanical, Civil etc. Approach companies to try and get experience whilst you are at college, that way you have a running start on how to use the most up to date packages and instruments that companies have, and that then gets you the work experience when you finish college. | |||||

The programme combines theory with hands-on experience and practical skills. Students experience the variety of the early years’ sector through placements in different childcare settings, thus providing the opportunity to link classroom learning with work based practice.
You will learn how to meet the holistic physical, social, cognitive and educational needs of the child, and to understand the role of the family and society. The programme will promote a childcentered approach to care and education, taking account of physical, educational and emotional needs of babies and young children. It will provide an insight into the roles and responsibilities of practitioners who work with young babies and children. It will also encourage students to reflect on practice so as to better meet the needs of babies and children in a range of early years’ settings.
