They may prefer thought to action, and enjoy the challenge of solving problems with clever technology. Engineers are concerned with developing economical and safe solutions to practical problems, by applying mathematics and scientific knowledge while considering technical constraints. On entry into the Engineering programme, four different Bachelor degree course options will be open to you as follows:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering Design and
  • Manufacture Engineering 

In Semester 1 you will study modules in areas of Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Chemistry for Engineers and Computing. By the end of the first semester you will have a basic understanding of the core areas of engineering which will help you in making your choice of engineering programme.
