Summary... header image

Civil engineering deals with the built environment and encompasses much of what defines modern civilization. Buildings and bridges are often the most conspicuous creations but this discipline is also responsible for roads, railways, subway systems, airports, water supply systems and waste disposal.

This four-year degree programme provides a blend of academic and practical training across all key civil engineering areas. Modules include: civil engineering technology; surveying; physics and chemistry; engineering drawing; material science; quantity surveying and estimating; soils mechanics; water engineering; highway and traffic engineering; environmental engineering and more. The programme features a strong practical element with students frequently working in our specialised materials, hydraulic and environmental laboratories and workshops.
