Try gain experience in some area of construction if possible to see if it’s for you. If you’re interested in a 9-5 job this is not for you!

If you like meeting with new people each day and dealing with issues which they may have regarding the project this is a good job for you. If you like to take charge of situations then this is also a good role for you to take on.

WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS?

Realist? 		Realist
Realists are usually interested in 'things' - such as buildings, mechanics, equipment, tools, electronics etc. Their primary focus is dealing with these - as in building, fixing, operating or designing them. Involvement in these areas leads to high manual skills, or a fine aptitude for practical design - as found in the various forms of engineering.

Realists like to find practical solutions to problems using tools, technology and skilled work. Realists usually prefer to be active in their work environment, often do most of their work alone, and enjoy taking decisive action with a minimum amount of discussion and paperwork.

Course Description

This Advanced Certificate course gives early childhood care and education workers all the practical skills and underpinning knowledge, required for a career in supervision in childcare. It also meets the educational requirements of the ECCE Scheme. Many childcare settings are now seeking Level 6 qualifications for their employees in line with this Scheme. If you already have a childcare qualification or are currently work in the childcare field this course will enhance your knowledge (including Solta and Aistear) and supervisory skills. Work Experience within a variety of Early Childhood Care and Education situations forms an integral part of the course.

What will you Study?
