WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS?

Linguistic? 		Linguistic
The Linguistic's interests are usually focused on ideas and information exchange. They tend to like reading a lot, and enjoy discussion about what has been said. Some will want to write about their own ideas and may follow a path towards journalism, or story writing or editing. Others will develop skills in other languages, perhaps finding work as a translator or interpreter. Most Linguistic types will enjoy the opportunity to teach or instruct people in a topic they are interested in.

Course Description

This programme is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to work with children with disabilities in a primary or post primary school and in special units and other care settings.

What will you Study?

This one year full time promgramme is designed to facilitate students who wish to work as a special needs/classroom assistant, or as a personal care assistant supporting independent living. It involves working with children with special needs and adults with disabilities. On completion of this course the learner will be able to work in a variety of settings. The programme provides a unique opportunity to participate in literacy and numeracy initiatives with students in second level school.
