Administrative? 		Administrative
Administrative people are interested in work that offers security and a sense of being part of a larger process. They may be at their best operating under supervisors who give clear guidelines, and performing routine tasks in a methodical and reliable way.

They tend to enjoy clerical and most forms of office work, where they perform essential administrative duties. They often form the backbone of large and small organisations alike. They may enjoy being in charge of office filing systems, and using computers and other office equipment to keep things running smoothly. They usually like routine work hours and prefer comfortable indoor workplaces.

Course Description

This course is suitable for learners who wish to adjust to a changing construction industry by broadening their knowledge base into energy efficient building techniques. Learners are introduced to the fundamentals of green building technology with an emphasis on energy, insulation, conservation and sustainable living. Practical skills such as solar/photovoltaic panel installation, wind turbine technology, retro fitting of domestic buildings, green building technology, installation of insulation and energy upgrades are completed in order to build up the learners skill capacity in this area. No previous building experience is necessary.

What will you Study?

Learners are introduced to the fundamentals of green building technology with an emphasis on energy, insulation conservation and sustainable living. They will also gain an appreciation of various National and European policies as they relate to sustainable energy in a residential context. There is also a focus on hands on, practical skills such as solar/photovoltaic panel installation, wind turbine technology, insulation techniques and software applications associated with measuring the energy performance of these buildings. This course is ideally suited to learners who wish to adjust to a changing construction industry by broadening their knowledge base.
