This course covers modules such as Construction Technology and Building Services which help students understand how buildings are put together and subsequently operate.
Specialisations consist of Quantity Surveying Practice & Procedures. Land Surveying, Computer Aided Design, Measurement and Estimating, and Procurement Studies. General modules cover broad but necessary disciplines such as Mathematics (Leaving Cert standard, for year 1 only) Practical Accountancy and Site Management.
There is also a six month work placement in year 3.

As a student of Architectural Technology you will be encouraged to appreciate the concepts of architectural design and apply technical design principles in the development of a building to meet the project brief, the regulatory requirements for the building and the performance requirements for environmental and energy efficiency.
This programme is delivered through studio project work, which increases in technical complexity as the course progresses.

This higher certificate course aims to develop your technical and practical knowledge of the core modules applicable to civil engineering. Group and individual projects play a large part in coursework and are designed to reflect ‘real life’ projects in the industry. The course covers a range of modules including Structural Design, Land Surveying, Construction Technology, CAD and Communication Skills.

In year 3 a four month work placement provides an opportunity for practical learning for each student.
