Social

The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Education and Training - DC235

This course is designed for students who have prior knowledge and experience of working with adults who are continuing their education, as trainers in the private sector, or with people who may have learning disabilities.

The course will give you a greater understanding of all aspects of education and training both in the formal and informal sectors. Students will learn about the key theories underpinning education. community development and organisational learning.

The course will focus on both the practical and theoretical skills necessary to deliver quality education and training. The programme covers curriculum development, teaching and learning methodologies and the use of information technology in education and training.

Please note that the option to select Flexible Delivery Mode at Registration for this programme has been withdrawn for this year. Mode of attendance will be Daytime (full-time) for the academic year 2019-20.
