Naturalist?

Naturalist

Not surprisingly, some aspect of the natural sciences will run through the Naturalist's interests - from ecological awareness to nutrition and health. People with an interest in horticulture, land usage and farming (including fish) are Naturalists.

Some Naturalists focus on animals rather than plants, and may enjoy working with, training, caring for, or simply herding them. Other Naturalists will prefer working with the end result of nature's produce - the food produced from plants and animals. Naturalists like solving problems with solutions that show some sensitivity to the environmental impact of what they do. They like to see practical results and prefer action to talking and discussing.

Aviation Management/ Aviation Management with Pilot Studies - DC117

This course offers a distinct choice for those wishing to train as commercial pilots or to pursue fast-paced management careers in aviation.

In the fourth year, the course divides into two streams: Some students will opt to pursue training at an approved Flight Training Organisation with a view to qualifying as a commercial pilot (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) or others will choose to follow more specialist studies in aviation management at DCU.

Business Studies International - DC110

This course combines business and cultural studies with the study of a foreign language.

The course introduces students to the key concepts of business (communication, information technology, teamwork and problem solving) with later specialist focus on the international business environment. 

Students also acquire proficiency in a foreign language of their choice (French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese)

Global Business (France) - DC112

The BA in Global Business France is a unique course, combining a broad understanding of international business with intercultural experience and work placements. As such, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the challenging and diverse world of international business.

This degree is the only one of its type in Ireland and is a unique and exciting way to learn business. You will spend the first two years in DCU (including a work placement in Ireland) and the final two years in the relevant partner institution in Neoma Business school in Rouen, where you study through that country's language and university system. You will also go on a work placement while abroad. You will graduate with two qualifications (one from DCU/ one from the partner institution).

Global Business (Germany) - DC113

The BA in Global Business Germany is a unique course, combining a broad understanding of international business with intercultural experience and work placements. As such, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the challenging and diverse world of international business.

This degree is the only one of its type in Ireland and is a unique and exciting way to learn business. You will spend the first two years in DCU (including a work placement in Ireland) and the final two years in the relevant partner institution in European school of Buisness in Reutlingen, where you study through that country's language and university system.

You will also go on a work placement while abroad. You will graduate with two qualifications (one from DCU/ one from the partner institution).

Global Business (Spain) - DC114

The BA in Global Business Spain is a unique course, combining a broad understanding of international business with intercultural experience and work placements. As such, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the challenging and diverse world of international business.

This degree is the only one of its type in Ireland and is a unique and exciting way to learn business. You will spend the first two years in DCU (including a work placement in Ireland) and the final two years in the relevant partner institution ICADE at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas Madrid, where you study through that country's language and university system.

You will also go on a work placement while abroad. You will graduate with two qualifications (one from DCU/ one from the partner institution.

Global Business (USA) - DC116

The BA in Global Business USA is a unique course, combining a broad understanding of international business with intercultural experience and work placements. As such, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the challenging and diverse world of international business.

This degree is the only one of its type in Ireland and is a unique and exciting way to learn business.

From 2017, there will be a common entry to Global Business USA, after which students will indicate a preference to study at Northeastern University in Boston or the University of San Diego, located on the west coast of the USA.

You will also go on a work placement while abroad. You will graduate with two qualifications (one from DCU/ one from the partner institution).
