The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Many will seek out positions where there is direct contact with the public in some advisory role, whether a receptionist or a counsellor. Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.

Computer Games Development - CW208

This is the only degree course in gaming that Microsoft has helped to develop and given their backing to. This course also includes a six-month work placement in the games development industry. Students should note that much more than an interest in playing computer games is required for this course. You study such subjects as applied maths, computer architecture and computer interaction.

This four-year honours programme provides students with the skills they need to become professional games developers. Students will acquire skills in software design and programming, game design, graphics programming, modelling, simulation and animation. On completion, students will have produced several complete game concepts in a playable form. Students will design and develop games for a range of platforms including PC, PlayStation Vita, Android, iOS, OUYA and Windows Phone. Lectures and course practicals cover game industry development technologies.
